As of today, 75 killer whales remain the Salish Sea (located near BC, Canada and Washington, USA). Will you join us in writing 75 letters, folded in the shape of an orca, so that we may send it to the new Minister of Fisheries, Oceans, and the Canadian Coast Guard? Don’t worry, we’ll provide the paper, writing prompts, and the volunteers to help you fold your orca.Join us in the Alice McKay room of the Vancouver Public Library and enjoy live music, poetry, storytelling by Pauline Le Bel, singer and author of “Whale in the Door” and Squamish Nation storyteller Rebecca Campbell Duncan/Tsitsayxemaat perform, and contributors to the poetry collection “Refugium”, among other fine performances.
